CBN, Dantata Foods to Create 20,000 Job opportunities in Cross River State

The Central Bank of Nigeria, Dantata Foods and Allied Products Company Limited in partnership with the Cross River State has confirmed commitment to create twenty thousand jobs through agro-processing industry.

The Governor of Cross River state Prof. Ben Ayade made this known in a media briefing shortly after a partnership meeting with the Central Bank Governor and the leadership of Dantata Conglomerate.

Prof. Ben Ayade said, this development is one of the exciting moments in his administration as the twenty thousand youths would be engaged across ten value chains which include aquaculture, poultry, livestock, rice, maize, soybean, groundnut and cotton.

The Central Bank Governor Mr. Godwin Emefele, represented by Chief Anthony Ifechiku, special adviser to the CBN Governor said the bank has set aside money for job creation in the Agribusiness industry and Cross River state is now eminently qualified to access the available funds.

While responding, Alh. Tajuddeen Aminu Dantata, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dantata Foods and Allied Products Company Limited stated that company has designed a special agric intervention project to harness the huge potentials of state to create direct and indirect jobs.

Alh. Tajuddeen Dantata said the company would soon establish a multi production agro-processing factory which will provide immediate employment to the teaming youths, (male and female) in Cross River.

The partnership has the USAID Feed the Future Agribusiness Activity, Zenith Bank PLC, the Central Bank of Nigeria and Dantata Foods.
